| Taking place with the Gold Medal Concours are the Western Double Gun & Rifle Championships, which complement the World Side by Side Championships (also known as The Vintage Cup) and the Southern and British Side by Side Championships–with one major difference:
The Western Championships are open to over/under guns and rifles also, not just side-by-sides. The shotgun event is 75 challenging targets, for .410 through 8-gauge guns. The rifle championships are for open-sighted doubles, Drillings, cape guns (and even single-shots, for those who feel lucky) in Stalking, Stopping and Stomping classes. At stake? Prestige, bragging rights and your name on the Ithaca Classic Cup as the Western Double Gun Champion, or the Krieghoff Cup as the Western Rifle Champion. A variety of class winners will be recognized, and Ladies and Youth champions will be named too. For more information, please click on |
